40 Children Attend Fit2Go Quiz at Bloomfield Road Stadium.

Fit2Go aims to encourage children to live a healthy lifestyle, take part in regular physical activity and to join in with local sports clubs and community programmes which will ultimately improve their overall health and wellbeing.

It is currently delivered for FREE to Year 4 pupils in every primary school in Blackpool over a six week period.   The half term after their programme has finished the school are invited to take part in a summary quiz at the home of Blackpool FC, Bloomfield Road Stadium, to see how much they can remember.

At the beginning of November The Community Trust welcomed 40 children to the quiz: Stanley Primary School, St Bernadette’s Catholic Primary School, Norbreck Academy and Anchorsholme Academy.  Congratulations to Stanley Primary School who came out on top.

The Fit2Go team will continue to deliver in the next six schools and will welcome them along to a quiz in the New Year.

Rosie Newton, Health Education Manager, said, “The quiz is a great opportunity for children to recap what they have learnt over the past six weeks.  It is also an exciting opportunity for them to learn in a different environment to school.”
