What is Break Time?
Group based activities for children and young people in Lancashire with special educational needs and or disabilities (SEND)
Break Time is a service which can be accessed by children and young people aged 4-18 years with SEND who live in Lancashire( excluding Blackburn with Darwen and Blackpool Council areas and who do not
receive short breaks following a social care assessment of need.
Activities take place after school, at weekends and during school holidays. There are a number of providers at venues across Lancashire, offering a range of fun group activities. If you would like your child or young person to join a Break Time club or group, parents and carers must first complete a registration form.
More details and the registration form can be found on the Lancashire Local Offer: www.lancashire-gov.uk/SEND
You can contact the Short Breaks Service at: cyp-shortbreaks@lancashire.gov.uk
Break Time Plus is an additional service which enables children and young people who are looked after or are supported through a social care plan of support, to access a group activity funded through their social care plan.
This provides additional choice and flexibility for children, young people and their families and carers.
Families do not need to resister for Break Time Plus; see the Local Offer pages for more information.
