Premier League Enterprise uses the backdrop of professional football clubs’ business models to deliver enterprise education to inspire young people and increase their aspirations and skills. The Enterprise programme has engaged more than 11,000, thirteen-to-fifteen-year-olds in educational sessions run by Premier League and English Football League clubs since it began in 2009.

Montgomery High School were selected at the Club heat held at Bloomfield Road before Christmas, and have worked closely with our Enterprise Officer to develop their ideas and produce an executive summary, financial forecast and a coherent presentation to showcase their business idea. The Montgomery team delivered a fantastic presentation at the Regional Final which was highly commended by the esteemed judges but it was Liverpool FC Foundation that secured the victory, leaving the Blackpool team in second place, which is a credit to the work that they put in.

Despite Montgomery High School exiting the competition, Enterprise Officer Jack Shields was delighted with the final presentation from the Year 9 team. Jack said, “It’s been a fantastic experience for the pupils and they’ve all enjoyed the whole experience. They gave their best with their presentation, and the questions that followed, but unfortunately it wasn’t to be. All the schools who presented their business task did really well and congratulations to Liverpool FC Foundation for progressing to the next round.”
