Competition Time: Win Charlie Adam's Boots

Keeping your mind and body active is so important for your mental health and as we supported Mental Health Awareness Week this week, it seems an apt time to launch our next competition.

Over the next two weeks Blackpool FC Community Trust will be running two competitions simultaneously to acknowledge the greatest days in Blackpool’s recent history.

1: Junior Reporter

Budding young sports journalists are invited to enter our Junior Reporter competition. The winning entry will have their Wembley match report published on the BFC Community Trust Website and in a BFC match day programme.

They will also have the opportunity to interview the BFC Head Coach Neil Critchley during the 20/21 season.

To enter simply watch the magnificent 2009/10 Wembley Playoff win over Cardiff City, which sent Blackpool FC into the Premier League.

Use our template to report on the day’s events using your own words to describe the atmosphere and excitement of the day. Simply submit your report plus a snappy headline to media@bfcct.co.uk with Junior Reporter as the subject.

2: Charlie Adam ‘Top Bin Challenge’

We would like you to recreate the famous Charlie Adam Wembley ‘top bin’ free kick, scored in the Blackpool FC Wembley victory over Cardiff City.

To enter we simply need you to film your effort using your right or left foot, post it on our social media platforms and share it with your family, friends or football team. The best goal (and celebration) will win a pair of Charlie Adam’s boots, kindly donated by the man himself, and 3 runners up will receive a brand-new football each.  Don’t forget to use #ShowUsYourAdam for a valid entry.

Both competitions will run for two weeks starting on Friday 22nd May 2020 and will close 5pm Friday 5th June 2020.

You can watch the full game on the Blackpool FC YouTube Channel this evening (22nd May) @ 7:45pm. Make sure you subscribe.
