Our Stars Inclusion Camp

Throughout summer, in addition to Blackpool Summer of Fun Camps and Community sessions, Blackpool FC Community Trust have provided 120 Hours of sessions for children living with disabilities. Funded by Lancashire Local Offer, Stars Inclusion Camp was based at Blackpool FC Stadium in The Education and Community Centre.

The children and young people had a great time over the six weeks, taking part in a range of activities: table tennis, football tennis, pool/snooker, arts and crafts, gaming, jigsaws, watching films, dancing, Lego and much more.

“It’s great to be able to offer parents and guardians the respite for their children to attend our half term camps. We offer a variety of activities, so there is something for everyone, and when there is not, we improvise, to make sure everyone is included. It’s good to see the children getting involved and making new friends.” –Paul Mullin, Disability Inclusion Officer.

The amazing quotes from parents speak volumes for what impact the sessions have on the young people who attend.
