HAF Camp

Across our HAF Camps this half term, we saw an increase of 50 attendees, totaling up to 303 children altogether. We are extremely proud of the work we do and the things we provide to the young people of Blackpool.

A parent of one of the children who attended our HAF Camp said “This holiday camp has been extremely helpful. My children loved it!”

Girl’s Football Camp

This half term, we saw the biggest-ever numbers on our Girls Football Camp to date, with our busiest day having 35 attendees! Across the camp, the girls took part in a range of sessions including structured coaching, fun games and small-sided games covering a range of topics.

Stars Disability Camp

At our Stars Disability Camp, we were visited by a DJ who hosted several activities for the young people.

Some of these activities included:

  • Circus skills like spinning plates and the stilts
  • Space hopper races
  • Balance boards
  • Dance music
  • And much more

Autism Awareness Week

For Autism Awareness Week, we spoke to Elliot who attends our Adult PAN-Ability football sessions. Previously, Elliot attended our Junior PAN-Ability football sessions so has been attending our sessions for a few years. We asked Elliot what he would say to someone in his position, who lives with autism, and who is thinking about coming to this football session.

Elliot said, “I’d tell them to come down and give it a go. Everyone is welcome and it’s a great way to meet new people”

PL Supports

The Premier League Supports Campaign gave us the opportunity to celebrate the impact that Premier League community activity and facilities have had on people within your local communities.

That week, we celebrated our PL Primary Stars programme, talking about what it is and the impact it has made on school students. Watch this video here for more information – What is PL Primary Stars

We also celebrated our PL Inspires programme. You can find out more here – PL Inspires

Our male and female PL Kicks football teams travelled to Salford Sports Village to participate in the U16’s PL Kicks Cup. Both teams represented the Community Trust in a positive manner, with the girls also reaching the semi-finals. Participants also took part in a variety of skill challenges and a mental well-being workshop. Well done to everyone involved in this event!

Finally, we presented Dave Marsland with the ‘One of our Own’ award after supporting Blackpool FC Community Trust for the past 8 years. Dave makes an incredible impact in our local community, working with older people, vulnerable people and veterans to make their lives better. Our Elite FA Emerging Talent Centre girls had a fantastic evening playing Manchester City’s women’s RTC teams. We saw some amazing talent on display was great! Our girls did brilliantly, with the u12/13s winning in a thrilling encounter.
