Christmas HAF Camp – From the 19th of December to the 23rd of December we will be running our HAF Christmas Camp. Holiday Activity and Food Programme (HAF) is a government-funded provision aimed to offer a diverse range of activities and enrichment to children eligible for and receiving free school meals. This programme aims to work with partners across Blackpool to deliver engaging activities such as sports and arts and crafts and provide health and nutrition information and free healthy meals each day to the participants.

PL Kicks Activity Week – Over the course of 4 days, between the 19th of December to the 22nd of December, we will be offering young people from our PL Kicks programme the opportunity to attend a range of trips which will include free transport, free activities and a free meal. These trips will be running each day and the activities can range from going bowling, going to the cinema, going to the arcade club and going trampolining.

We still have limited availability for these trips, so if your child is eligible for free school meals, in high school and aged 11-16 please contact PLKicks@bfcct.co.uk to enquire about a place.

 

Stars Camp – Our Stars Camp will run from the 19th Of December to the 22nd of December for children living with a disability in Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre. Camp will be extra special this year with a Visit from Santa, Hands on Animals where children will get the chance to meet and hold different animals and insects and also a Christmas Disco Party along with all of our other sports, arts and crafts and games.

Tiny Tangerine Christmas Parties – We will be delivering our Tiny Tangerines Christmas parties on the 13th of December at Unity Academy and on the 16th of December at Armfield Academy. Everyone who attends our Tiny Tangerines mini-football sessions are welcome to attend.

Junior Seasiders Christmas Party with Blackpool FC – On Monday 5th December, we are supporting the club in delivering their Junior Seasiders Christmas Party. The event, which runs from 5.30 pm until 7.30 pm, will be attended by members of the Blackpool FC first-team squad, Santa and Bloomfield Bear. Featuring games and entertainment, all Junior Seasiders’ members are invited to the party, which is free to attend with a ticket. Food Parcel scheme in partnership with Blackpool Food Bank – Working in partnership with Blackpool Food Bank, starting from Tuesday 13th December 2022, we will be providing emergency food parcels and other essential items to the vulnerable community of Blackpool. We aim to tackle short-term food poverty and relieve the pressure of putting food on the table.

The Big Food Truck will be based at Bloomfield Road near the North Stand Community Hub on Tuesdays between 2 pm – 4 pm and will be offering Family Bags at £5 and Single Bags at £3.

Christmas Present Campaign with Blackpool FC – Together with the club, we are extremely proud to be delivering the Christmas Present Campaign again in 2022. By doing this, we will be giving the chance to primary school children in Blackpool who are at risk of not receiving a present on Christmas Day to open one for the third year running. Merlin Entertainments have kindly offered items at a significantly discounted rate again, while a top-up donation from Segantii Capital Management has ensured that the order of gifts this year covers 1,460 children aged 4-11. The gifts will be collected in early December, with a community wrapping session taking place at the stadium on Monday 12 December at 5 pm.

Emerging Talent Centre Induction Nights – Before our Emerging Talent Centre launching in January 2023, we are allowing the young girls and their parents who will be representing Blackpool FC Community Trust ETC to learn more about the programme.

Our under 10’s and 12’s induction evening will be taking place on the 9th of December at Bloomfield Road.

Our under 14’s and 16’s induction evening will be taking place on the 16th of December at Bloomfield Road.

 

ETC Round Robin Tournament – Our under-10’s and 11’s girls will be taking on Manchester United’s ETC Girl’s teams and Doncaster Belles ETC teams in a round-robin tournament. This will be the second opportunity for these girls to represent the Blackpool FC Community Trust ETC, after previously playing the Westmorland FA County Teams in November.

 

 

Street Soccer Northern Cup – Our Street Soccer cohort are travelling to Sunderland on 14th December to take part in the Street Soccer Northern Cup. They will be playing fixtures against teams from Sunderland, Liverpool and Sheffield United who are all going head-to-head to come out on top. The group of players from our club and other clubs will also be giving a presentation to talk about their experiences of the programme, along with the benefits and effects it has had on their lives.

 

PL Inspires, Blackpool FC Academy Players Visit – Blackpool FC Academy Players will be visiting some of our local high schools across the course of December. In these visits, they will be joining students in taking part in our PL Inspires sessions. The sessions will focus on mental health and specifically on the stories and experiences the Blackpool FC Academy Players have faced during their time in football and broader life. Pupils will be encouraged and welcomed to share their experiences in a safe environment where they can network with others about positive problem-solving and how to support one another.

 

PL Kicks Dance Performance – On the 10th of December, at Bloomfield Road, our PL Kicks Dance participants will be performing their dance routine that they have been working on for weeks in front of a packed stadium as the half time entertainment at the Blackpool FC vs Birmingham City match.

 

Extra Time – On the 12th of December at Holy Trinity Church on Dean Street, from 1pm to 3pm, students from Unique Training Group will be attending our Extra Time session to give our participants a Christmas pamper Hair and Beauty services through the session.

32 of our participants will also be attending our annual Christmas meal at the Halfway House

Utilita Food Hub – DID YOU KNOW… In partnership with Utilita, we are delivering our Food Bank service before kick-off at every home game. The drop-off places will be at the Education and Community Centre in the North Stand of Bloomfield Road and The Armfield Club an hour before kick-off.

Closing Dates We will be closing for Christmas on the 23rd of December and re-opening again on the 3rd of January 2023. This means that no sessions will be taking place over the course of this time.
