Coming up in June

It’s finally SUMMER TIME!!! Just because it’s getting warmer outside doesn’t mean we are taking a break and relaxing. We still have so many different things going on in June and over Summer…

May Half-Term Camps (30th May – 2nd June)

Our school holiday Sports Camps are the perfect opportunity for children to have fun, make new friends and improve their sports skills. The Community Trust will be delivering a variety of exciting activities, including football, dodgeball, cricket, dance and many more. These camps are designed to provide a fun and challenging environment for children of all skill levels, ages 5 to 14.

  • Sports Camp @ Unity Academy (8 am – 5 pm)
  • Sports Camp @ Armfield Academy (9 am – 5 pm)

If sports camps are not for you, we also have Football Camps at Aspire Sports Hub (formally PlayFootball) that focus on all aspects of the game. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to improve your skills and take your game to the next level.

  • Football Camp – ages 5-14 years old (8 am – 5 pm)
  • Girls Football camp – ages 7-14 years old (8 am – 5 pm)

We also have our Holiday Activities and Food Camps (HAF) for children who receive free school meals which take place at local primary schools.

We also have our Stars Disability Camp for children living with a disability in the local area. This takes place from 11 am – 3 pm in the Education and Community Centre @ Blackpool FC excluding bank holidays. To book, please email info@bfcct.co.uk.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Mid-Season Trials

Following the successful launch of our FA Emerging Talent Centre earlier this year, we are running mid-season trials to identify talented players to join our programme for the rest of the season! The elite programme is completely free to attend and forms part of the England Lioness Talent Pathway. We saw our first set of trials occur at the end of May and our second set is coming up this month. Trial dates and times are below:

  • U9s and U10s – 3rd June from 5 pm to 6:30 pm.
  • U11s and U12s – 10th June from 5 pm to 6:30 pm.
  • U13s and U14s – 3rd June from 6:30 pm to 8 pm.
  • U15s and U16s – 10th June from 6:30 pm to 8 pm.

We have around 300 girls attending, all trying out for a space in the elite girl’s football programme.

Future Lioness Development Centres

We are now into our second 6-week block for the Future Lioness Development Centres, which run every Monday evening. These sessions are for girls aged u8-14 who play for any team and would like extra coaching each week to develop their football skills. We have girls from a wide range of grassroots clubs throughout Blackpool and Fylde attending and enjoying our sessions.

Boccia Festival

We are hosting a Boccia Festival in June for six SEND schools in Blackpool and Fylde at Stanley Park Sports Centre.

Beaverbrook’s Enterprise Programme

Our High School Hub Mentors continue to deliver the Beaverbrook’s Enterprise Programme in all our partner schools. Pupils will be preparing their business ideas within sessions in the coming weeks ready to present at the Enterprise Challenge in July. The Challenge takes place here, at Bloomfield Road in front of local business owners and CEO’s.

Pride Blackpool 2023

We will once again be attending Blackpool Pride this year. We will have a stall where people can come over and ask us questions about our programmes and our brand-new LGBTQ+ football sessions. If you see us, come and say hello!

New LGBTQ+ Football Session

Starting Monday 19th June, we will be running FREE Turn up and Play football sessions for members and allies of the LGBTQ+ community at Aspire Sports Hub.

Move with Me
