Awareness Days – As a Community Trust, we will be highlighting these key awareness days this month:

Black History Month – We will be working with Blackpool FC on this national celebration as we aim to promote and celebrate Black contributions to British society.

International Day of Older Persons 1st October – As well as all the sessions for our older people continuing, we will be celebrating the International Day of Older Persons. We support a lot of older people in our community, giving them a reason to get out of the house and giving them a chance to get together with similar people with similar interests.

World Mental Health Day 10th October –  World Mental Health Day happens every year with this year’s theme being ‘Make mental health and wellbeing for all a global priority’. We take part in this as we support a lot of the community who suffer from mental health problems. The sessions are here to boost people and make them feel positive about themselves and their lives.

National Coming out Day 11th October – National coming out day is a time for those in the LGBT community to finally be open about who they are to their friends, family and the world.
