Christmas Campaign

Following the outstanding success of the 2020 festive fundraiser and the generous donations made from our community, enough funds were raised to deliver the scheme again, for a further two years without having to fundraise again.

It is thanks to all the fans, local businesses and organisations, staff, and players for enabling us to raise such a huge amount, allowing us to roll out the initiative again this year.

The offer was made to every primary school in Blackpool to provide a gift, supported by Merlin Entertainments, to every child in Blackpool that is at risk of not receiving a present on Christmas morning. To date we have been able to donate over 6000 gifts to support children across Blackpool aged 4-11.

Shirt Giveaway

Blackpool FC Community Trust, Blackpool Football Club and the Blackpool Supporters Trust were pleased to confirm the launch of an exciting new collaboration that brought all organisations involved even closer to the heart of the community it represents.

Throughout December 2021 it was our mission to ensure that every child in Year 2 from all Blackpool primary schools received their own Blackpool shirt to wear with pride. This was a major initiative that would not have been possible had we not worked in close partnership together. Following the results of this initiative we will continue to look for opportunities to demonstrate the power that a football club, its charitable organisation and its supporters can have when they work together.

Boot Bank

Blackpool FC Community Trust are committed to removing barriers associated to playing football.

The football Boot Bank, which was originally introduced by Blackpool FC Supporter Kev Quirke, will now be overseen by the Community Trust.  The free community football Boot Bank, will allow previously used boots to be re-homed and re-used

Drop off points:

The Boot Bank drop off points will be:

  • Community Trust Office, Seasiders Way, FY1 6JJ (mon – fri, 9am -5pm)
  • Blackpool FC Club Shop during their regular opening times.

If you would like to support this initiative at your event, school or grassroots club, the Boot Bank bins can also be requested to use as collection points at your location. Please get in touch for more information.

The football Boot Bank can be accessed discretely by anyone in the community, and no donation is required in return. This is an environmental movement to ensure football boots do not end up in landfills and can be recycled for future use.

If you would like to donate any clean, undamaged boots or would like information on stock please contact Blackpool FC Community Trust over socials or by emailing andrew.aspinall@bfcct.co.uk

Food Bank

Working with, Utilita, Blackpool Supporters Trust and Blackpool Foodbank, we have launched drop off points on Blackpool FC match days, for anyone to drop off foods that can be donated to the Food Bank. This season (22/23) we have also opened the doors of our North Stand Community Hub as a collection point for food parcels.  This is to support our local community to move away from food insecurity.

Tangerine Teammates

In partnership with Blackpool FC, we will develop a direct link between our first team squad and grassroots football clubs. Each First Team player will be linked to a junior local club and will support with; training visits, Q&A sessions with players of all ages, offer advice and motivational opportunities for kids to enthuse and engage our local footballers.
